Geo Bay Swim – Cool Water Classic (WA)
The Geo Bay Swim (Yahava KoffeeWorks Cool Water Classic) is a ~20km coastal marathon swim held in the sheltered waters of Geographe Bay, swimming from Dunsborough to Busselton Jetty. The course follows a pristine coastline, offering clear water, expansive views and a relatively protected environment compared to open ocean channel crossings.
The event is distinguished by its unique checkpoint (“beach party”) format, where swimmers come ashore at designated locations for feeding, support and relay transitions. This structure creates a highly engaging and social atmosphere, while still delivering a genuine endurance challenge for solo swimmers.
Its combination of accessibility, scale and structured support has made it one of Australia’s most popular and inclusive ultra-distance swims, attracting both first-time marathon swimmers and experienced athletes.
