VladSwim Challenge (NSW)
The Vladswim Challenge is a Sydney Harbour-based endurance swim offering 2.5km, 5km and 10km distances. It provides a controlled and well-supported environment for swimmers building endurance.
Originally developed as a 10km qualifying swim for marathon events, the Vladswim Challenge has become a key fixture on the NSW open water calendar.
Its structured format, including lap-based swimming, feeding opportunities and strong safety coverage, allows swimmers to focus on pacing, nutrition and race execution without the added complexity of open ocean conditions.
As such, it plays an important role as a stepping-stone into marathon and ultra-distance swimming, bridging the gap between shorter ocean swims and major endurance events.
